THE LAST two of a group of men accused of taking part in a New Year's Eve stabbing have faced court.

Brant Joseph Baker and Russell Keith Baker appeared in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court yesterday, charged with two counts of unlawful wounding, going armed to cause fear and wilful damage.

Police allege that on December 31 they joined their brother Joshua Ian Baker and friend Peter Henderson in a group attack on two men at the front of a Urangan home.

All four are accused of fronting the home, being asked to leave and returning a short while later armed with knives and a fence paling.

They then allegedly became involved in a brawl which involved the slashing of two men who received spinal and facial injuries.

Shortly after the alleged attack Joshua Baker was remanded in custody but despite objections from police, was released on bail.

His defence argued he needed urgent medical attention as a result of the injuries he received. …
