Condamine River is 11.5m and rising. David and I opened the shop so we would have people coming in plus there were a few stranded people, and of course the smokers were getting desperate. We kept it opened until we were evacuated on the 30th. Condamine is closed off with water over the bridge on the Miles side. The road to Chinchilla/Kogan has been shut for some time, and the road south is closed before Moonee.

December 28, 2010

River is over 12m today. Creek is up on the farm side of Condamine to over a metre now. Rob had to organise to get himself into town in a friend's tinnie (little boat) to get back to the roadhouse and start packing and moving equipment and shop stock up off the ground in case the floodwaters reach the roadhouse.

Rob and I organised a food order along with other town locals to top up essential supplies Co bread and milk etc. …
