The tally donated to the Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal

as at 10am yesterday was $145,257,594.

The Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal has been launched to help Queenslanders affected by the recent floods.

THE downturn from the flood may have had an impact on Rockhampton butcher Peter Boodle's business, but it hasn't stopped him giving a big slice of his income to those most affected.

Yesterday the generous butcher joined the growing list of business people rallying to support Rockhampton's flood victims.

He has donated 100 $50 meat vouchers.

Peter said he'd given the vouchers to Rockhampton Regional Council who'd passed them on to the Salvation Army for distribution to the city's most affected flood victims.

He said he wanted to help victims and thought by doing this it would ensure the money stayed local.
