The Guardian league tables 2011 also reported that Sunderland was the fastest rising business school of all UK universities.

Dr Sonal Minocha, associate dean of the University of Sunderland's faculty of business and law, says potential students and clients get individual attention before being advised of appropriate training.

SALES MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE The Business School created a fresh, significant career path for salespeople across the UK in 2010 with a brand new degree, working with BT to improve sales capability for its graduates countrywide.
The Master of Science programme means that BT graduate employees are able to keep career and qualifications running smoothly in parallel.
Viv Kinnaird, dean of the University of Sunderland's Business School, believes that the high level of take-up and enthusiasm for the degree from BT staff could lead to it being offered to other companies with graduate employees in years to come.
She said: "In the past many talented salespeople have left a career in sales to pursue careers in marketing or finance because sales does not have the professional career structure offered by other disciplines. Careers in sales management will undoubtedly benefit from structured academic qualifications such as our MSc in applied sales management. …
