THE Creative Generator SEQ, Queensland Arts Council and Sunshine Coast Council are inviting Sunshine Coast artists to attend the [Social] Networking Event which will be held at the Lake Kawana Community Centre on Tuesday, February 22, running from 5.30-8.30pm.

One of the organisers, Tim McGee, said the event would give local artists from across all art forms a fantastic opportunity to network with other artists and also with a range of arts organisations.

aThis event aims to promote future partnerships and collaborations,a Mr McGee said.

aIt will also give artists a valuable insight into social media marketing.a

Mr McGee will be joined by social media expert Matt Lawton from PunkLogic.com.au who will speak to artists on how they can market and sell work online and how to use the power of social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to help them connect with virtually every artist and customer in the world.
