MAZDA is holding the VAT rate at last year's level for the next few weeks in addition to a raft of other incentives in a bid to stimulate extra sales.

It means that the VAT rate charged to customers will stay at 17.5% of the list price rather than rising to 20%, which represents a saving of 2.5% in addition to the other offers.

In the case of the Mazda2 Tamura this includes an entry price of pounds 11,584 and up to three years' servicing included in a personal contract purchase deal.

In the case of the Mazda2 TS2 there is a pounds 300 discount, taking the entry price down to pounds 11,816 and for the Mazda2 Sport there is an entry price of pounds 12,673 with the VAT at 17.5% rather than the full 20%.

Mazda3 models also benefit from the lower VAT rate in addition to a pounds 500 deposit contribution when bought on a PCP. …
