CRICKET: Plenty of money will be raised for the Queensland flood appeal at the Gabba tomorrow, but Shane Watson reckons a series-clinching one-day win for Australia would prove priceless for the victims.

It seemed the Australian cricket team needed a spark after England kept the one-day series alive with a 21-run win in Adelaide on Wednesday night.

And they got it after touring one of the state's worst flood-hit areas around Goodna west of Brisbane yesterday.

Moved by the fighting spirit in the devastated area, Watson said players would donate tomorrow's match fees along with an Australian Cricketers' Association contribution totalling $190,000 to the flood appeal.

But, Watson reckons the best gift they can give is a win at what will be an emotion-charged Gabba tomorrow.

aHopefully it (series) is not alive after Sunday (tomorrow) a it (victory) would be really fitting for this game on Sunday,a Watson said.
