Sisters in a Hairy Situation; Pair Looking Forward to Shave for a Cure

SISTERS-in-law Amy and Cherrie Moran plan to achieve much more than raising money for a good cause when they lose their locks in this year's Shave for a Cure campaign.

By the time the pair is shorn on March 12 they hope to have also cured a hairy aspect of their lives.

aWe're trying to get my husband, Damien, to have his legs waxed for the cause as well,a said Amy. aHe's the manager of Coles in Shoppingworld and we're having the event outside his business, so we think he should be part of it.

aAnd he's a really hairy man.a

Amy said Damien was having nothing of the plan, but she said the pressure on him was mounting.

aIf enough people know what we're trying to do, they can exert pressure on him to do his bit as well,a she said.

Cherrie, a hairdresser at Images in Prince Street, Grafton, and Amy, who works at Coles in the Grafton Mall, were inspired to help out this year when they saw the Shave for a Cure campaign had only raised $123,000 towards its $4million target. …
