JOE Scholl claims to have returned about $10,000 in misplaced money since he bought Wonderwash Laundrymat nearly three years ago.

The Murwillumbah laundry owner, who could quite possibly be Tweed's most honest man, said he had found everything from rolls of betting tickets, to credit cards and wads of cash in his customers' clothing, but had always returned his finds.

C[pounds sterling]I give everything back, right down to the last five cents; if I find it in a machine I put it back on top or fold it up with their clothes,C[yen] Mr Scholl said.
