andrew.pain@eveninggazette.co.uk A MOTORIST whose car was targeted in a street-long vandalism spree has described the incident as "disturbing".

Retired Gulae Darbar was one of more than a dozen car owners on Middlesbrough's Croydon Road whose vehicles were damaged.

The cars were scratched along their doors and wings in the incident which occurred overnight between last Friday and Saturday.

Mr Darbar said he had not yet priced up the cost of repairing his black Chrysler Dodge Caliber which he bought two years ago.

"It will be quite a bit of money I think," said Mr Darbar, a 65-year-old married dad-of-two. "I need to call the insurance people.

"I only found out on Monday morning but it happened on Friday night I'm told. There's quite a scratch been made.

"It is very annoying and disturbing - we have never had this problem before. It's a concern."

Mum-of-three Leanne Cairnes, 24, who lives on Croydon Road but does not own a car, said: "It's shocking. …
