THE rubber and smoke is set to fly when Queensland Raceway fires up the 2011 drifting season like never before, with two huge instalments of drift action next weekend.

It begins with Friday Night Drift Practice, before launching into the Saturday Stadium Drift featuring the nation's finest exponents of the sport including 2010 Pro Drift Champion, Ipswich's Josh Boettcher.

This first Stadium Drift event for the year will be the first full competition outing for Pro and Level 2 drifters for 2011 with Australia's very best drifters and the nations hottest cars on show for the people of South-East Queensland.

Boettcher will head a star-studded line-up, which includes 2010 runner up Eugene a[approximately]Huge' Arendsen in the revamped Tokake Soarer and Rob Whyte in the supercharged Nissan 350Z, and Dan Kenneally in the Hog's Breath Nissan.

Boettcher will compete in his new, state-of-the-art Nissan S15 on his home circuit for the very first time.

Three newcomers to the Pro category will have their hands full in their first run at the Pro level. …
