Jacksonville's Jewish community will hold its annual "Day of Learning" from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at The Jacksonville Jewish Center located at 3662 Crown Point Road.

About 600 participants of all ages and denominations will have the opportunity to attend various learning programs. Middle school students will be performing an off-site social action project. Kindergarten through fifth grade, high school age and adults will have a number of stations and seminar options led by a cross-section of clergy and other specialists.

Organizer Cathy Klein said the event continues the Jewish value of continual learning as a community. "This is about learning together and celebrating together across all the synagogues and people who don't belong to synagogues."
