MICK Tait insists Blyth Spartans are not suffering from an FA Trophy hangover but that his small squad is simply crippled by injuries, writes STEVE BROWN.

But the Croft Park club boss has urged his side to demonstrate their character by returning to winning ways at Harrogate Town tonight.

Blyth were knocked out of the Trophy quarter-finals by Gateshead 10 days ago, and lost at home to Solihull Moors on Saturday.

But Tait said: "I don't think we're still hurting from the Trophy game.

"We didn't play too badly on Saturday.

The pitch is really bobbly but we actually played some really good stuff, we just couldn't hurt Solihull.

"Now we have to go to Harrogate and get a win, and we need to put the last two results behind us and go on another good run.

"The form we'd been in had given us a lot of confidence. We haven't lost that, we just need to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we've picked up injuries just at the wrong time for us. …
