KINGS of the gross-out comedy the Farrelly brothers are back with this vulgar comedic venture about two sex-obsessed middle-aged men given a week off from marriage.

Owen Wilson (looking much older than when we last saw him) and Jason Sudeikis play Rick and Fred Co best buds who believe without their wives standing in the way they could be scoring all the action they desire.

But after being out of the dating game for so long, it soon becomes clear this is not quite the case.

Known for their classic comedies of Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary and Stuck on You, the Farrelly brothers' ammo is based around random, absurd and often gross moments strung together and Hall Pass is no different.

Jokes about masturbation, gratuitous genital gags and explosive diarrhoea take centre stage as the guys navigate their way through a week of single life.

While some of the scenes take things a little too far and are pretty graphic, the laughs are fairly consistent and at the heart of the film is a sweet message about love and marriage. …
