This Generosity Fuel for Thought

I AM a 76-year-old man and last Friday I was getting fuel at the servo on the corner of Nicklin Way and Beerburrum St. I went in to pay but had forgotten that the bank had taken some payments out of my account and so my card was declined. I started to panic until a kind young gentleman behind me offered to pay for my fuel. I tried to get some details out of him so I could pay him back the next day but he said not to worry about it. I just wanted to thank him for helping out an elderly gent. And let people know that there are some generous and compassionate folks out there. Once again, thanks.



... and this is special, too

MY wife and I were talking at dinner about our day's work.

My wife is a hairdresser and said that two women were waiting for a haircut. They were chatting until a chair was free.

The younger woman quietly asked my wife the cost of the older women's haircut and then said she would like to pay for it so the older woman would have a little bit extra for shopping.

I told the older woman of the younger one's kind gesture.

What a kind-hearted person.

These women had never met before.



Sending the wrong vibes

AS a local band, we are upset by the council's interference with the long-standing Peregian Originals. We already have to head south to play due to a lack of suitable venues on the Coast, and now they want to relocate and cut down an amazing community-minded event that provides an opportunity for local music lovers and the community to connect.


Seeing the vision splendid
