HARD-hitting pugilist Cruiso Bower squared the ledger with Josh Robbie in a tight four-round decision on Saturday night.

The Condong Bowls Club was packed for what was dubbed Ding Dong in Condong II: The Rematch and the 12-bout card didn't disappoint.

Robbie beat Bower in an earlier encounter, but both boxers entered the rematch with 4-1 records and were different fighters from when they last met.

Tweed Daily News boxing columnist Tony Nobbs, who trains Robbie at the Stingrays Gym, said the improving Bower was too strong.

aBoth scored well, Bower with hard left crosses, Robbie with his right-lefts, but it was the Murwillumbah fighter who had more power in his punches,a Nobbs said. aNeither boxer was in serious trouble and with Bower a walk-up southpaw banger and Robbie standing 188cm-plus, it became a bit untidy as the two tangled in close.
