ECONOMY: Keep an eye out for the Tesla Roadster, an electric-charged vehicle, which is travelling between Melbourne and Brisbane.

THE electric car revolution is passing through the Coffs Coast.

A prototype Tesla Roadster is having a shot at bettering the Australian world record for the furthest an electric car has travelled on a single charge.

The Roadster has left Melbourne and will travel 3000km to Brisbane on March 30, with a brief stopover in Coffs Harbour on March 26.

Tesla's a[approximately]Oz Goes Electric' promotional tour will give people a chance to see the Roadster up-close, following the electric super car company's official Australian launch in Janu-

ary.

The Roadster has an official range of 360-394km, which is significantly less than a standard internal combustion engine-driven vehicle.
