ASPIRING chefs and cooks of the Fraser Coast will be aiming to whip up an impressive buffet dinner tonight as part of their final restaurant service for the semester.

Featuring local ingredients such as tomatoes, potatoes, ginger and pork, the buffet will be held at Images training restaurant on Urraween Road from 6.30pm to 8.45pm. Local residents are more than welcome to book a table.

Wide Bay Institute of TAFE cookery teacher Russell Briscoe said a total of 19 commercial cookery and kitchen operations students, ranging in age from their teens to their late 50s, would be put to the test throughout the evening.
