THIS is our last instalment following the previous two week's articles about new lay-by and guarantee laws.

Signs that state aNo Refunda or aNo Refund on Sale Itemsa, aExchanges or Credit Notes Only for Returnsa are illegal.

These types of signs mislead the consumer into thinking they have no rights and are not able to get a refund under any circumstances, however, this is not the case given the consumer guarantees discussed last week.

Retailers are able to use variations of this statement, such as aNo refunds given for change of minda.

The maximum penalty for displaying an illegal aNo Refunda type sign is $1.1 million for a company.

If a Retailer mistakenly displays more than one price for the same goods, the Retailer must either:
