BOARD member Jenny Press was one of the tireless volunteers who manned fire hoses for hours flushing mud out of the Ipswich Basketball Stadium after January's floods.

However, after seeing some wonderful contributions from the community, Press is pleased to see Ipswich basketball recovering.

From receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars damage, the stadium has two of its four courts operating again at Bundamba.

Press is hopeful Ipswich will be ready to host the under-14 girls state titles over Easter.

An Ipswich Basketball Family Funday between 9am and 3pm on Saturday is an important stepping stone in the flood fightback.

All members of the basketball community and people wanting to help Ipswich sport are invited to enjoy a packed day of entertainment, food, rides for the kids and music.

Former international players Shane Heal and Leroy Loggins are expected to attend, along with Queensland Basketball League representatives.
