Tackling Bullying Is a Team Effort at St Francis Primary

EVERY school has one whether they like to admit it or not.

But how each school addresses the issue of bullies is a whole different matter.

Locally, St Francis Catholic Primary School has taken a whole-school approach in a bid to educate children on bullying and how to address the problem.

Throughout the term students have been focusing on bullying, with classes taking part in a series of activities aimed at providing students with the knowledge and confidence to take effective action against bullying.

Classes have participated in activities from various websites, in particular www.bullyingnoway.com, to get children thinking.

The issue of bullying also has been mentioned at each school assembly throughout the term.

They have also been designing calico flags with symbols on them, which have been placed along the school fence and are now flying proudly along St Francis Way.

In addition the Year 7 student representative council has designed role plays, which were performed at school assembly this week. …
