BRISBANE representative prop Sam Thaiday admits the ongoing battle with a groin injury has taken the edge off his power game this season.

Brisbane needs Thaiday, who has been pushed into the front-row with fellow representative prop Ben Hannant, to fire against an aggressive Newcastle Knights pack on Monday night.
