Avenues Closing off for Sandra; Housing Department Stands by Decision over Family of 10

HOMELESS and desperate, Sandra Shaw says she'll take any help she can get to find a new place to live for her family.

Sandra and seven of her children and two of her grandchildren need a new home after they were evicted from their Gracemere Housing Commission house on Wednesday.

The family of 10 had lived in the home for about eight years before numerous complaints from neighbours eventually led to her eviction.

Neighbours told The Morning Bulletin on Wednesday they were sick of the loud arguments and constant partying going on at Sandra's house.

But Sandra yesterday disputed these claims saying several of her neighbours would be willing to vouch for her, but were afraid to speak out as they were also living in Housing Commission homes.

Sandra said she'd spent the past two nights staying with her brother and had been forced to split her children up to stay with friends and relatives until she found a home where they could all live together again. …
