SHARP RAZORBACKS; Five Gladstone Players Make Queensland Touch Cut for NSW Showdown

QUEENSLAND touch teams will again boast a strong Gladstone contingent this year.

Of the eight Razorbacks players who trialled in South Pine last month, five were selected to take on New South Wales in June.

Veteran state and Australian player Laurie Anno will line-up alongside fellow rep regulars Fred Roeser and Linden Finlay in the over-40 division, Jim Radloff made the over-27 side and Mark Marsh moved up to the over-45 team.

While the Razorbacks had mixed fortunes in terms of results at the rain-affected trials, their stars shone out in the usual fashion, making life easy for Queensland selector Anno.

The Razorbacks will also be represented in the refereeing department after Zac Smith received an invitation to the June State of Origin clash as an official.
