They may have recently splurged on a new phone system with 10 incoming lines, but often eight will ring at once, so it may take a few seconds longer than usual before you are connected.

Don't get frustrated, get impressed that a business that started hobby-selling on eBay four years ago is today so astronomically busy.

Phil Astley ran the Cars R Us car yard in Nambour with his son Andrew for a number of years. Then second son David left school and started work in the business.

The Astleys had by then started buying damaged cars for parts to fix the second-hand cars they had on the lot. The leftover parts they sold on eBay to off-set David's wage.
