THE CRIMSON PETAL AND THE WHITE 9PM, BBC2 So Sugar, reinvented with the help of a dowdy new frock and an unbecoming haircut as the ladylike Miss Sugar, moves into Matthew's house as governess to his little daughter, Sophie. Which is good news for Sophie, whose former governess was a nasty old boot. And also quite nice for poor Agnes, William's batty wife. But you get the impression that it definitely isn't good news for William, for whom some Gothic fate surely awaits.
