Noosa Teen Sets Sights on US Raid

MOTOCROSS: Noosa teenager Jesse Dobson has the world in the palm of his hand.

After taking on and blitzing New Zealand's best, the 14-year-old is setting his sights on the US.

Dobson completed a successful raid on the Land of the Long White Cloud last week when he dominated the New Zealand Junior Motocross Nationals at Tokoroa, about an hour south of the North Island city of Hamilton.

He took out the 125cc class, winning four of the five motos.

He won the first race by a cool 26 seconds, finished sixth in race two Co after crashing three times Co before sailing to victory in the final three.

Dobson will travel to the US to tackle qualifying for the Loretta Lynn's United States National Amateur Motocross Championships. He says he is full of confidence after being crowned NZ national champion and is champing at the bit to take another country by storm.
