Byline: CHRISTOPHER KNOX
ASHINGTON -based engineering group Hadar Lighting has appointed thirdyear student Sally Jesson as marketing assistant as it looks to develop a its range of LED floodlights.
Hadar, which is part of the A-Belco Group, worked with Newcastlebased agency Silver Bullet Marketing to make the appointment and is now looking to further its marketing activity as it grows.
A-Belco Group managing director Brian Trench said: "We enjoy a very close relationship with Silver Bullet and I recalled John Dias, their managing director, commenting that they wouldn't be taking a placement student this year as they had in the past, but that it was a shame because one CV had particularly stuck out.
"At the same time, we were looking for additional staff who could help us with the marketing tasks that we wanted to do in conjunction with the agency's work, and the idea was born."
Sally, who is studying advertising management, works four days a week at the Ashington site on a variety of marketing tasks, including competitor analysis to organising exhibitions.
