TIAM Fisher appeared in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court yesterday charged with attempting to kill or injure a police dog, two counts of assault, four counts of trespass and one of obstructing police.

A bandaged Fisher sat in the dock during the bail application.

He appeared to have wounds on his left thigh and right hand.

His solicitor, Trinity McGarvie, applied for bail, saying the allegations relating to Quattro would be C[pounds sterling]very difficult to be borne outC[yen].

She argued there was C[pounds sterling]very little likelihood of (Fisher) receiving a prison sentence for his alleged offencesC[yen] and that this should be a significant factor in determining bail.

Ms McGarvie said there was no basis for the court to believe her client was at risk of re-offending or of failing to appear again if granted bail, citing his C[pounds sterling]lack of relevant historyC[yen]. …
