In response to article titled aSam lets his footy do the talkinga on 18.5.11.

Interesting comments from Brad Lloyd the Grafton coach. I note in Country's recent win over Victoria that three of five players named as best on ground were from Far North Coast. They included Sam, Jeff Wilson and Ben Damen.

I played for Country in the early 80s, and I think it's a load of rubbish that to be considered good enough you have to play in the City. It means leaving a job and shifting your family to play club rugby in Sydney for no salary.

I was lucky enough to go on and play for ACT, who knocked off many international teams and we rolled NSW and QLD on a few occasions in Super 6s. Did I come via Sydney Rugby- NO?

It was obviously a ploy by Brad to fire his players up. One thing I have learnt in 30 years of Rugby it's that you always respect your opponents. …
