Where it all started: Born in Melbourne, Andrew got his start in television in 1986 via Channel Ten's afternoon cartoon program Andrew Daddo Presents.

Career highlights: Becoming a VJ on MTV in New York in 1989, in the process becoming the first Australian VJ to hit the US; cohosting Olympic Sunrise for the Sydney Olympics on Channel Seven; the release of his first children's book, Sprung!, in 2001.

First great road movie he ever saw: Duel.

What was your first car? It was a cherry-red 1967 Rover 2000 TC. It actually had the full sports pack on it, with the genuine Jag-Rover wire wheels, full leather interior and a speedo that went across the dash, not a dial. It was a beauty.
