Good news keeps coming from The Players Championship.

It's a top tier sports event.

It produces millions of dollars for the area's needy.

And the players are pretty special. Here is what Joe Arnall of Jacksonville Beach wrote in an email:

"On Sunday of the tournament, the super threesome of Steve Stricker, Nick Whatney and Luke Donald hit onto the 10th green.

"As they arrived and began to survey the line for their putts, a woman at the rope at the edge of the green collapsed with a seizure.

She recovered as she was put on a stretcher and taken to the first aid facility after about 15 minutes of care next to the green.

"Even though all three players were in contention to win, not once did they turn their attention away from a fallen fan who came to see them. Not once did they behave in a self-centered manner. They exhibited true professionalism.

"Even though not one in the threesome won, they finished high in the money. But on that day without forethought, agents or PR staff, they won the hearts of those fans at the 10th green along with their respect."

The ombudsmen have important duties . They protect the health, safety, welfare and rights of nursing home residents. For instance, they investigate complaints, conduct annual assessments, provide training and support local councils, the state Ombudsman Council reported in a news release. …
