NRL Bid Chases Bundy's Input; Event Seeks Wider Corporate Support

JUST months away from lodging their business plan, the CQ NRL Bid Team is busy drumming up corporate and business support from across the Central Queensland area.

Bid team chief executive officer Denis Keeffe said representatives would visit Bundaberg on Tuesday to meet with Bundaberg businesses and interested people at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery.

C[pounds sterling]It is not just a corporate launch, it is also an update to the people who are interested in the bid in Bundaberg,C[yen] Mr Keeffe said.

C[pounds sterling]We have made some significant progress in recent times.

C[pounds sterling]The general Bundaberg region is very important to the bid.C[yen]

Mr Keeffe said the team was now working on the business plan, which would be lodged with the NRL in August.

And while the bid has a couple of hundred corporate partners, Mr Keeffe said they were mainly in Rockhampton. …
