EASINGTON head into tomorrow's clash with Seaham Harbour buoyed by the most successful weekend in the club's recent history in which the first and second teams won all four of their fixtures.

New recruit Paul Franks played a key role in Sunday's victory over Murton, scoring 65 not out, and club secretary Peter Booth is impressed even though Franks is somewhat of an enigma at the club.

He said: "We signed Paul from Horden, but with work commitments he has only been available twice and has not been around the club much.

"He scored 90 and 65 in two innings, so even though we do not know much about him it looks like he will be a terrific player." Booth is hopeful Franks will be available for the trip to Seaham, and is keen to see David Tarn find his form again.

He added: "David was outstanding for us last season, but has not got going yet. If we can get him and Franks playing well, with the rest of the side we have that would be massive for us. …
