TIP fee cheats who dump rubbish illegally are unlikely to force a rethink on charges at Sunshine Coast Council's resource recovery centres.

Councillor Keryn Jones, who chairs the council's environment portfolio, said research had shown that tip fees had no influence on illegal dumping.

A resident of Eudlo Flats Road this week blamed tip fee cheats for repeated illegal dumping the area.
