THE light that shines out of Kylie Minogue is brighter than any of the lights that will be focused on her when she takes the stage for her second show in Brisbane tonight for her Aphrodite: Les Folies tour.

With all the glitz and glamour aside, Minogue revealed she was C[pounds sterling]really nervousC[yen] before the show.

She said playing to a home crowd was tougher than to strangers, but then she remembered how much C[pounds sterling]love and joyC[yen] would be surrounding her and felt more at ease.

The five-foot-tall pop princess said the crowd determined her performance and her home shows would be no different.

C[pounds sterling]It's very chicken and the egg,C[yen] she said.

C[pounds sterling]I feed off the audience, we both come in with the best energy we can muster.C[yen]

After touring her show all over the world playing shows in front of 100,000 people in the UK, it may seem like her Brisbane show (playing to 20,000) would be more intimate for her.

C[pounds sterling]This isn't that intimate Co it's a lot of people,C[yen] she laughed. C[pounds sterling]It's hard to imagine what it will be like when there are people in the seats.C[yen]

The extravagant production includes a $10 million stage, $750,000 worth of props, a million diamante crystals, 1000 feathers and more than 200 costumes.

Minogue fans watched in awe as the pop princess kicked off her Australian tour last night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

The starlet said she didn't know how long she could keep up the constant touring and chaotic lifestyle that is the music industry.

C[pounds sterling]During the rehearsal period is when everyone starts to realise the limitations of the body. I've had quite a few run-ins with the ice pack. Sometimes I feel more like a footballer than a pop princess.C[yen]

The songstress said when she looked at her idols Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda she thought how C[pounds sterling]incredibleC[yen] their careers had been and hoped hers would continue for as long as theirs had. …
