PIONEER VALLEY

VISITOR Adrian Ford won the single stableford at Pioneer Valley on Saturday with 37 points on a countback from another visitor Eddie Ramsamy.

The cold and wet weather affected numbers but there was still a good turnout of members and visitors.

The ball run down went to 34 points. Nearest the pins were No.3, Carl Teske 6.3m; No.8, Adrian Ford 1.75m; No.12, Adrian Ford 5.9m; and No.17, Pat Foley 2.18m.

The competition was sponsored by Dennis Paidley and Gavin Leary.

Next Saturday will be the June monthly medal and the club championship matchplay draws have now been posted on line and at the clubhouse.

Carol McAuley took out the honours in Tuesday's women's monthly medal with a nett 67 from Madonna Blackburn with nett 70. The ball rundown went to nett 71.

The pin shot Div.1 was won by Robyn Arthur and Div.2 by Lorrain Kilcullen and the raffle was won by Tyra Wales.

Kay Craig sponsored the competition.

Today the women will play a single stroke event sponsored by Geoff Staples.

The Pioneer Valley Ladies Open is on this Friday, June 17 and late nominations will be accepted.

Veterans' treasurer and president Glen Jackson and Garry McDonald won the day with 50 points in the Thursday veterans 4BBB stableford with Kevin Christensen and Rene Jones second with 46 points.

The ball rundown went to 43 points and the nearest the pins were No.8 Dennis Phillips and Kay Craig and No.12 Kevin Christensen and Jan Sievers.

This Thursday is a single stroke event and visitors are welcome.

HALLIDAY BAY

SOME good scores were posted at Halliday Bay on Sunday morning despite the cold drizzly weather affecting the numbers for the 2 ball stroke Vs par event.

None better than visitor Ned Jacobson (alias Kelly) and Terry Booker on +6. Roger Spindler and Les Newland had a +4.

Last week's John Donnelly The Good Guys monthly medal winner Bob Aylesbury and David Head were next on +3.

Ned was nearest the pin on 2 and 11, David Head got 2nd shot on 9 and 18 and Denise Newland won the treasure chest.

The NAGA went to Debby Denise and Denise Newland.

The Wednesday comp was a single stroke Vs par which had a German invasion. …
