LEARNING to put herself first was a hard lesson to learn for new CQUniversity graduate Natalie Wright.

Natalie was one of 45 students to graduate on May 26 at the universities 13th graduation to be held in Gladstone.

The students graduated from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health, and the Faculty of Arts, Business, Informatics and Education, graduated with family and friends looking on.

Guest speaker at the graduation ceremony was Sandra Collins, the first woman to study mining engineering in Queensland and only the second in Australia - she had to have an exemption so she could work underground.

Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Learning Management (Secondary) degree knowing that the C[pounds sterling]long, hard four yearsC[yen] was worth every minute.
