EVERY day for the next three months, thousands of people from across Australia will be reading about why Bundaberg is the lifestyle capital of Queensland.

A special marketing campaign by the Bundaberg Business Flood Appeal Committee started recently with an eight-page spread on the region in Spirit of Regional Australia, the on-flight magazine on all QantasLink flights.

Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism general manager James Corvan said the spread, which focused on living in Bundaberg rather than visiting it, was about getting longevity out of the campaign.

C[pounds sterling]We believe it will be good value for a range of things,C[yen] Mr Corvan said.

C[pounds sterling]It is a very captive audience. There is no entertainment on those flights and they fly to mining locations, like Gladstone and Mackay where there are stresses and strains on population increases and costs, so sitting there is our target audience.C[yen]

Mr Corvan said the magazine spread was about looking at the advantages of the region and why people were choosing to live here. …
