FOOTBALL: After a week training with A-League club Gold Coast FC, the two Jamies are expected to bring some A-League intensity to the Whitsunday Miners' game against Bundaberg tonight.

Miners' midfielders Jamie White and Jamie Hatch have spent the last week down south, after being invited to trial with Gold Coast FC, a true testament to the skill in the Miners' line-up.

aThey have had a good week away training with the Gold Coast, training with some skilled players, so I hope they can bring some of that intensity back with them for the game against Bundaberg,a Miners coach Graham Harvey said yesterday.

White, who scored a goal in a practice match while on the Gold Coast, said it was a great experience to trial with the A-League club.

aIt was quite fast-paced, but that is pretty much what I am used to from playing in England,a White said.

He was looking forward to today's game and will bring some intensity back with him. …
