THE proposed Gladstone Murri Centre recently took another step on its long journey to fruition.

Cedric Williams, chairman of Gladstone Goorie Centre Indigenous Corporation (GGCIC), and Lew Opie, a consultant for GGCIC, met with The Observer yesterday to discuss the lengthy, but worthwhile process they are navigating.

Transfer of title for the land required DERM, the current title holder, to clarify that no other government department wanted the land. That requirement has been met and attention now turns to the next steps for the land transfer and beyond.
