THE annual celebration of gardening, the Queensland Garden Expo, kicks off today and continues all weekend at the Nambour Showgrounds. The event showcases the best of subtropical plants and the latest ideas for backyard blitzes. DON'T just sit back and watch Dancing With The Stars on telly, show your own fancy footwork at The Sunshine Coast Concert Band's Winter Wonderland Dance. The dance will be held tomorrow from 7.30 to 11pm in the Kawana Community Hall (behind the library) in Nanyima Street, Buddina. THE Caxton Street Jazz Band a playing the music of Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk and Chris Barber a will be blowing up a storm on Sunday at the Kawana Community Hall in Nanyima St, Buddina. The band's musical influences are drawn from the early Ellington, Armstrong, Bechet, Morton and Bix through to the mainstream jazz of the '30s, '40s and '50s. THE Kings Beach Stunned Mullets are holding a Monster Garage Sale over two weekends. Proceeds from the garage sale will enable the dedicated team of volunteers to raise their annual entry fee to the Island Charity Swim, which benefits the Currimundi and Nambour Special Schools.
