STEVE Bruce's Sunderland revolution has continued with the addition of experienced Manchester United duo Wes Brown and John O'Shea - along with Blackpool's Welsh international David Vaughan, writes MARK DOUGLAS. On a day when the Black Cats also confirmed the appointment of Bryan 'Pop' Robson as their new chief scout, Bruce stepped up his radical overhaul of his squad with an impressive triple capture. Adding experience and a winning mentality, the double signing of Brown (pictured left) and O'Shea for pounds 8million is very creditable business for a club who are making an impressive impact in the summer transfer window. The Black Cats have had to hand four-year deals to Brown, 31, and 30-year-old O'Shea, but Bruce will see that as an acceptable concession to bring in two players with medals and honours aplenty. And with the creative presence of Vaughan in the heart of midfield, there will be a completely new-look side next term. Blackpool's player of the year, who will be officially unveiled this morning, has penned a three-year deal after opting for the Black Cats over West Brom. Brown said that the presence of Bruce had persuaded him to leave Manchester United after a 15-year association with the Red Devils. He said: "It has been okay getting my head around leaving United. I am older now so you deal with these things. It was disappointing not playing as much as I could have at Manchester United in the last couple of seasons. Just to know that I will be back in playing and focusing on that makes it better. "Physically I am fine. Last season I was fine but just didn't get into the team. It was frustrating so I have moved on. That is football. "It feels great to be here. I know Sunderland is a great club. I am delighted to be here and play football and move the club forward. Why Sunderland? It's big club, Steve Bruce had a big factor in it. That's what it came down to. I know a couple of lads here and they said it is a wonderful place. …
