JEWELLERS sparkled in their top of the table clash with Jap Parts.

Jewellers reached 155-5 thanks largely to S Khan (65) and N Ayubi (47). In the Jap Parts reply, wickets tumbled as N Shabbir (5-37) and Y Khan (3-8) sent them back for 95.

I Hussain (46) and T Ramzan (42) set up Alpha Claims' total of 129-6 before N Ramzan (5-7) got into Boro Cars and despite a late attack by Kamran (49) they succumbed on 107.

Global Travel made 118-5 at home to Nunthorpe Merlin A with Rafeez (39no) and Bilal (39) among the runs. In reply, J Ward (47) set up the chase with Nunthorpe reaching victory on 119-5. Stafford Place struggled to 97-8 when they visited Specsavers but then B Smith (8-26) took charge as the home side were skittled for 62.

In B Division, New Marske knocked up 151-1 at home to Waterloo News with G Porritt making 46 and K Bramwell an impressive unbeaten 87.

Despite an early set back, G Lynch (60) got some reasonable support but the visitors were left six runs short on 145-4. O'Grady's reached 100-3 when visiting MSVSport with C Brown (38no) top scoring. S Rashid (38) steadied the reply and MSVSport reached 103-4 to win.

P&P Maintenance made 129-8 when visiting On Time Claims with the runs being shared between batsmen. In the home side's reply D Maroof (38) led the way as they reached 130-4 to win.

After a promising start, Pot & Glass were reduced to 88 all out as change bowlers M Croft (4-12) and P Blades (5-12) did the damage. Hemlington progressed steadily in reply to reach victory on 89-4. The week's top performance came in C Division as Rendezvous hit 209-6 at home to Hutton Rudby. A Riaz was in stunning form as he blitzed his way to 165 not out. D Johnson (45) and R Kendrew (30) set about the chase but it was a task that proved well beyond them and they were all out for 148.

G Cunliffe top scored with an unbeaten 70 as Hartlepool Power Station knocked up 168-7 at home to Cleveland Cable. L Prosser (4-26) and S McKenner (4-22) reduced the visitors to 49 all out. …
