MP Calls for Cull as Foxes Eat Family's Guinea Pigs

A MOTHER told today how "fearless and vicious" foxes killed her daughter's two pet rabbits and two guinea pigs and even snatched and ate goldfish from the garden pond.

Vanessa Letts, from Stockwell, said she feared for the safety of her two children, adding: "The foxes are such a menace that we are unable to use our garden in a normal way. They have become so brazen that even when all of us are around in the house and garden they walk into the house." Recalling the deaths of rabbits Berry and Flopsy, she said: "We put them in a sealed-off pen in the garden during the day but the foxes managed to burrow underneath and kill both rabbits while everyone was in the house.

"Last Sunday the guinea pigs were both killed after being left alone for an hour. The foxes have taken goldfish out of our pond and eaten them, and ripped the water lilies to shreds.

"I am concerned that one of the foxes might attack my children if they wander unattended in the garden. …
