Clay County Man Charged with Secret Videotaping in Bathrooms; Man Suspected of Setting Up Camera Convicted of Video Voyeurism in 2001

Article excerpt

A Clay County man has been arrested again in a voyeurism case that involved secretly videotaping bathrooms.

It started with an investigation in Alachua County where a fired employee at a plant nursery was suspected of setting up a camera in the business's restroom. On his computer, investigators found a hidden-camera movie taken in a bathroom at the man's Clay County home in the 5500 block of Lone Pine Trail, authorities said.

They talked with a female at the home who confirmed the video was from her bathroom and she had no idea she was being recorded.

On Wednesday, deputies charged 43-year-old Curtis John Zesbaugh with video voyeurism. He was convicted of the same crime in 2001 while working as a manager at a McAllister's Deli in Gainesville.

He had installed a camera in the women's restroom there.
