Allora Medical Practice Notches Up First 12 Months

IT has been a year since the Allora Medical Practice opened its doors to the community Co and a busy year it has been, with manager Sharon Cadwell yesterday saying the practice was regularly booked out.

C[pounds sterling]We have two full time doctors and a full time registered nurse,C[yen] Mrs Cadwell said.

C[pounds sterling]We also have a visiting social worker, a podiatrist, a dietician and an exercise physiologist to ensure holistic care for our patients.

C[pounds sterling]Every day we are booked solid, but we always take in emergency cases when needed.

C[pounds sterling]We would like to thank our patients for their understanding as we contribute to the continual health and wellbeing of the community.C[yen]

She said the practice was an essential part of the community.

C[pounds sterling]The community, especially the aged, really appreciates the service,C[yen] Mrs Cadwell said.

C[pounds sterling]It's not practical for them to travel into Warwick or Toowoomba for medical care.

C[pounds sterling]I don't know how they survived before we opened.C[yen]

The centre offers a registered nurse with a graduate diploma in diabetes education and will soon be accredited with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association. …
