WELCOME ABOARD; Henry Set to Finally Make Gold Coast Titans Debut

BEAU Henry has recovered from a back injury and will make his Gold Coast Titans debut at five-eighth against the North Queensland Cowboys at Skilled Park on Saturday.

The former Newcastle Knights playmaker signed to the Titans mid-season, but injured his back during just his second week of training with the club.

The 21-year-old former Toyota Cup Player of the Year was named to make his seventh NRL appearance by coach John Cartwright in a new-look backline, where William Zillman has been pushed from pivot to the centres, while Bodene Thompson will start in the back-row.

Henry made a successful return for the Burleigh Bears in the Intrust Super Cup on the weekend, and although he is feeling the effects of an ankle injury, he believes he is ready to play 80 minutes of NRL football.

Cartwright said he was eager to see how the skilful Henry would combine in a new-look halves combination with captain Scott Prince.

aWe brought him here to play five-eighth outside Scotty Prince, so we'll see how he goes this week,'' Cartwright said. …
