HE MAY be new to the world of stunt riding, but motorcyclist Andrew Campigli won't let that stop him from attempting death-defying feats of bravery on Saturday.

The 20-year-old will be a star attraction at this weekend's Flood Appeal Street Party when he attempts to jump up to 10 cars, anact shortly followed by jumping his bike through a wall of fire.

Mr Campigli got the gig by default, with the rider who was supposed to be making the jump pulling the pin at the last moment.

By a stroke of fate, the 20-year-old's sister lives next door to party organiser and Chuwar Baptist Church pastor Jay Beatty and the rest was history.

The Karana Downs resident started practising the stunts about a week ago in preparation for the weekend and has little doubt he can pull them off.

aI'm very excited, but also very nervous, as anyone should be,a Mr Campigli said.

He said he was very much at home on bikes, having raced them since he was 10. …
