Wilkinson's Set for a Falcons Reunion; RUGBY UNION

TWO years after he left, Jonny Wilkinson is set to return to Kingston Park in the run-up to Christmas, writes STUART RAYNER. Wilkinson's current club Toulon have been drawn in the same European Challenge Cup pool as Newcastle Falcons. The sides will meet home and away, with the Tyneside meeting broadcast on Sky Sports on December 8. It will be the first time Wilkinson has played against his old club since leaving for France two years ago.

Petrarca and Lyon are the other teams in Pool 2. Surrey-born Wilkinson scored 2,005 points in a 12-year career at Newcastle.

During that time he established himself as the world's best fly-half, famously drop-kicking the winning points on the stroke of full-time in the 2003 World Cup final.

Wilkinson is the all-time leading points-scorer in Test rugby with 1,265 for England and the British Lions, a record he briefly lost to New Zealand's Dan Carter.

In 2009 he left to join Toulon. The Mediterranean club finished eighth in last season's Top 14. …
